A detail set in resin intended to refine the cockpit of a model of the Swedish Saab 35 Draken fighter in the J35F/J version in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that replaces the simplified cockpit from a plastic kit with a faithfully cast cockpit tub, an instrument panel, side consoles and an ejection seat. Aires cockpit sets usually include fine photo-etched parts and an instrument film as well. An open canopy then reveals a realistic pilot's space.
The Saab 35 Draken was a Swedish supersonic fighter with a characteristic double delta wing that gave it an unmistakable silhouette. The J35F version was the definitive interceptor form with improved avionics and guided missile armament. The Draken served for long decades with the Swedish Air Force and is among the most distinctive European fighters of the Cold War.
First wash the parts free of mold release residue and only then glue and paint them. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw and sand the cut surfaces. Bond resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate): ordinary plastic cement does not hold on resin. Before gluing it in, the kit usually has to be modified slightly, so the set is rather for the more experienced. Sand wet and protect your airways.
This is a resin accessory, not a model or a standalone kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
