A resin detail set intended for a faithful rendering of the onboard cannon bay of a model of the Swedish Saab 35 Draken fighter in the J35F/J version in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that lets you build the model with the weapon bay open and reveal the finely rendered interior with the body of the cannon, the ammunition feed and the airframe structure. Such a detail greatly enlivens the otherwise smooth underside of the fuselage and is a rewarding place for an interesting pose.
The Saab 35 Draken was a Swedish supersonic fighter with a characteristic double delta wing. The J35F version was the definitive interceptor standard with improved avionics and armament. The Draken served for decades with the Swedish Air Force and with other users and is among the most striking European fighters of the Cold War.
First wash the parts to remove mold release residue and only then glue and paint them. Cut off the casting blocks carefully with a saw and sand the cut surfaces. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate): ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Opening the bay calls for cutting away part of the plastic of the kit, so the set is for the more experienced. Work wet when sanding and cutting and protect your airways.
This is a resin accessory, not a model or a stand-alone kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
