Zoukei-Mura J7W1 Shinden 1:48 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese canard fighter prototype from the SWS range.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese fighter Kyushu J7W1 Shinden in 1:48 scale from Zoukei-Mura, from the premium Super Wing Series range. The parts are molded in two colors of plastic with clear parts added. The model is derived from the larger 1:32 release and offers a well-detailed engine and internal structure. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Shinden was an experimental fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy from the end of the Second World War, with an unusual canard layout, that is with the horizontal surfaces at the front and the main wing at the rear, and a pusher propeller behind the pilot. Only prototypes flew before the end of the war and the aircraft never reached production.
Modelers with experience of detailed kits will appreciate this model. We recommend liquid cement for plastic, a primer base and spraying with an airbrush. The richly detailed powerplant and interior come out well with washes and subtle accenting of the details.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
