This injection-molded plastic kit from Kitty Hawk captures the two-seat version of the Swedish multirole fighter aircraft Saab Gripen, that is the B and D variants with an extended tandem cockpit. The model has a finely engraved surface structure, a detailed cockpit and a faithfully shaped airframe.
The Gripen is a Swedish single-engine multirole combat aircraft of canard delta layout. The two-seat B and D versions came about for training, conversion and operational duties, while keeping their combat capabilities. They serve with the Swedish Air Force and with other users.
Finish both seats of the tandem cockpit before closing the fuselage. Liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush are recommended. Fit the external stores and the tanks only at the end of the build. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
