The real subject

The JAS 39 Gripen is a Swedish single-engine combat aircraft with a delta wing and a canard. The designations B and D belong to the two-seat versions: the fuselage is lengthened compared with the single-seat machines and behind the pilot there is a second seat with equipment of its own. The glazing of the two-seat cockpit is long and the interior underneath it really is visible on a finished model, so it pays to devote more than just a base color to it.

Building tips

Lay the elements onto a clean and degreased surface of the parts, rid of excess material and leveled flat. The procedure for application differs between the individual sets, so go by the manufacturer's instructions before working, because they also give the way the elements are fastened. Work with tweezers with fine points, lay an element down starting from one edge so that no air is closed in underneath it, and try each piece dry first. Settle them before you close the cockpit with the glazing, because afterwards you will no longer reach them.
