A set of masks for a model of the Bf 109G-6 in 1:48 scale, tied to the finish with the yellow nine from the Eduard 11119 kit, marking J.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 was the most numerous version of the German fighter of the Second World War. Its identifying feature is the prominent bulged covers over the guns in front of the cockpit, by which this version can be recognized at first glance. The machine served on all fronts and the individual examples differed from one another in their finish and in their tactical markings, which is the main reason why sets tied to a particular machine are made for it.
It is a masking set tied to the finish with the yellow nine that the Eduard kit of catalog number 11119 carries under marking J. Which areas the set masks, and in what order the individual pieces are applied, is described in the enclosed instructions. The set does not contain parts of the model or paints.
The set suits modelers who want sharp edges and clean transitions without cutting their own masks from tape. It saves time above all with finishes that have regular shapes, where masking by hand would be awkward. Unless stated otherwise, the set of masks is supplied on its own: the kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
