Return rollers with a cast support for the Pz.Kpfw IV, number 3 are a PANZER ART accessory in 1:35 for the upper part of the running gear of the tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory to a model of the Pz.Kpfw IV tank in 1:35 scale that concentrates on the upper run of the running gear. The name carries two distinguishing pieces of information: the support is of the cast type and this is the third rendition of the numbered subseries. The tank itself you have to obtain separately, as the set deals only with this part of the side of the hull.
The original return rollers of the Panzer IV had a rubber tire band. As less and less rubber became available in the course of the war, production switched to all-steel rollers, which did without rubber, but were noisier and wore the track out faster. On late machines the number of return rollers on each side was moreover reduced from four to three. Anyone building a vehicle from the end of the war therefore has distinctly different running gear from someone modeling a machine from 1942, and it is a change that even a layman notices on a finished model.
You will make the work easier for yourself by marking the position of all the supports on the hull in pencil first and only then removing the originals. Glue the parts on one after another from the drive sprocket rearward and keep offering the track up, so that the height fits. After painting it is worth darkening the space around the rollers, because grease mixed with dust holds there and a saturated color would look unbelievable in that place.
