This injection-molded plastic kit from Italeri represents the late version of the German Junkers Ju 87D-5 Stuka dive bomber in 1:48 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and offers a detailed cockpit as well as decal marking schemes.
The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka was a German two-seat dive bomber, iconic thanks to its sirens and its characteristic inverted gull wing. The D-5 version was among the late variants of the D series; it was given an extended wing and revised armament and was deployed in the later phase of the Second World War. The type became famous for its accuracy in a diving attack on ground targets.
Build and paint the two-seat cockpit before closing the fuselage up. The characteristic landing gear spats and any photo-etched parts will increase the realism. Apply primer before painting, spray the camouflage with an airbrush in layers and set the markings on a gloss coat; add weathering with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
