An extended set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks of Japanese kabuki paper tape from the Czech brand New Ware. It is not a model: it is an accessory for painting that on the reconnaissance Ju 88D-1 in 1:48 scale covers more than the glazing alone.
The glazed nose and cabin of the Ju 88 are among the most demanding masking tasks there are, dozens of panes of various shapes, many of them on curved surfaces. The EXPERT form adds further airframe details beyond the basic set, so you can manage the whole paint job with a single set of pre-cut shapes. The reward is consistent, sharp frames and clean transitions where cutting tape by hand would easily go astray.
Plan the order of the work: spray the glazing first in the interior color so that the frames look convincing from inside as well, and only then lay on the external camouflage. Warm the masks slightly on curved surfaces and they will seat better. After every coat of paint, check that the edges are pressed down, as with glazing as extensive as this a small carelessness quickly adds up.
This is a masking accessory for painting; the aircraft kit itself is not included in the package.
