Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Junkers Ju 87G-2 Stuka ground-attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from Hasegawa. This is the late anti-tank version armed with a pair of underwing 37 mm cannons, made famous by its attacks on Soviet armored vehicles on the Eastern Front. The model offers a well-divided cockpit with side panels, a clear canopy and three-part assemblies for the large cannons.
The Ju 87 Stuka is one of the best-known aircraft of the Second World War. In the G version the aging airframe found a new role as a specialized tank killer: under the wings it carried a pair of 37 mm cannons with armor-piercing ammunition, highly effective against Soviet armored vehicles. Unlike the early dive bombers, this variant no longer dropped bombs but attacked with precise cannon fire. The best-known pilot of these machines was Hans-Ulrich Rudel.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin liquid cement for plastic. The muzzles of the large cannon barrels are solid, so drill them out carefully with a fine drill for a realistic look. Lay down a primer before painting and spray the camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats. Mask the glazing and bring out the panel lines and the fabric-covered surfaces with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
