Replacement landing-gear legs for models of the Kamov Ka-52 attack helicopter in 1:48 scale, designed for the Zvezda and Quinta Studio kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ka-52 is a Russian attack helicopter with twin coaxial main rotors and a side-by-side crew arrangement. It stands on fixed landing gear with legs that are exposed along their entire length, so nothing on the model hides them. That is exactly why the fineness of the struts, dampers, and wheel mounts is so noticeable.
The set brings replacement landing-gear legs in 1:48 scale. They replace the kit's plastic parts and offer a finer rendering of the thin struts, which injection molding can only reproduce to a limited degree. The design matches both the Zvezda kits and the Quinta Studio kits, so the swap requires no modification to the fuselage and no scratch-built struts of your own. It is a quick job that noticeably improves the overall impression of the finished model.
Carefully separate the parts with a sharp knife, level the mating surfaces, and dry-fit the whole landing gear before gluing so the model stands level on all legs without wobbling. Glue with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. The thin struts can only take light stress, so handle them without pressure and let the glued joint cure fully. Degrease the surface before painting and apply a primer first, then the landing-gear color and a final highlight of recessed areas.
The set suits modelers who have already finished the cockpit and surface detail and don't want the landing gear to remain the model's weakest point. The kit, paints, and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
