About product

Quinta Studio 1:48 Kamov Ka-52 - radar bay with nose cone

This set holds 3D printed resin parts for sharpening up the nose section of a model of the Kamov Ka-52 attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. It includes the radar bay and the nose cone with precisely printed detail, which replace the simplified plastic parts of the kit. It is NOT a model of the helicopter, but a detail accessory to one.

The real subject

The Kamov Ka-52 Alligator is a Russian two-seat attack helicopter with a characteristic coaxial rotor. The forward fuselage carries the sensors and the radar equipment, so a faithful rendering of the nose raises the realism of a model markedly.

Building tips

  • Wash the parts free of uncured print resin residue first and cut them off the print supports.
  • Glue them with superglue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Protect your airways when sanding resin.

Who the set is for

  • More experienced modelers who want a super-detailed Ka-52 nose.
  • Builders who combine a plastic kit with resin accessories.

FAQ

No, this is a resin detail set for the nose (the radar bay and the cone). The basic model has to be obtained separately.

Of resin, by 3D printing. Before gluing it is worth washing them and cutting them off the print supports.

Superglue (cyanoacrylate) is recommended, as it is the most reliable on resin.
