Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet La-11 piston fighter in 1:48 scale from the Russian maker ARK Model. It is a modern mold with engraved panel lines, clear cockpit parts and a decal sheet for several color schemes. The model is built from hard polystyrene by ordinary modeling methods.
The La-11 was the last Soviet production fighter with a piston engine. It was developed from the La-9, received a Shvetsov radial engine and was adapted for long-range escort and interception flights with a greater range. It entered service at the end of the 1940s and served with the Soviet Air Force and with its allies, among others in China and on the Korean peninsula, where it was also used as a night interceptor.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand and fill the fuselage and wing joints. Apply a primer before painting, which evens the surface out and reveals any flaws. Metal surfaces come into their own with an airbrush and metallic paint. The cockpit is a rewarding place to pick the detail out or to add to it.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
