Hobby Boss 1:48 Lavochkin La-11 Fang is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet postwar long-range piston fighter from a modern mold.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Hobby Boss captures the Soviet long-range piston fighter La-11, to which NATO assigned the designation Fang. It comes from a modern mold with a finely engraved surface, clear cockpit parts and waterslide decals. The model is made up of several sprues and offers a solid basis for the build as well as for further detailing.
The La-11 was the last major Soviet piston fighter. It came out of the Lavochkin line as a pure long-range fighter type with an increased supply of fuel and oil for long flights and with the armament concentrated in three 23 mm cannons. It first flew in 1947, that is already on the threshold of the jet era, so it was built only in small numbers. It served with the Soviet Air Force and with further users and was used among other things in the conflicts of the turn of the 1940s and 1950s.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue the joints with a liquid cement for plastic, which runs into the seam by itself. Before painting lay a primer, which evens out the surface and brings out any flaws. The metal surfaces of the fighter stand out with aluminum type shades applied with an airbrush; the panel lines are brought to life by a fine, deeper shade running into the engraving. Glue the clear parts on last and protect them from clouding.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
