A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Print Scale. This is not a kit, but a separate sheet with the markings of the Soviet Lavochkin La-5 fighter. This is the second part of the series, which offers a further set of individual markings compared with the first part. The decals make it possible to complete a La-5 model with period national insignia and the personal emblems of the pilots.
The Lavochkin La-5 was a Soviet single-seat fighter of the Second World War with a radial engine. It came about through the development of an earlier type and became one of the important Soviet fighters of the Eastern Front, valued for its performance at lower and medium altitudes.
A decal is briefly dipped in lukewarm water, slid off the backing paper onto the model and its position is adjusted. The excess water is pressed out, and a decal softening solution helps it settle into the detail. A smooth gloss base is best, and once dry the surface is unified with a matte or satin varnish.
These are separate waterslide decals. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
