Le Rhône J Engine in 1:48 offers a printed replacement for the rotary engine for smaller models of biplanes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The smaller sibling of the well-known engine is aimed at models in 1:48 size. Printing by 3D technology makes it possible to render the cylinder fins and the valve gear with a sharpness that injection-molded plastic does not reach at this size. Steel wire for the finest elements is included as well.
The designation J belonged to the rendition that spread across the whole of Europe and was built under license outside France as well. The engine worked without a water radiator and its cylinders circled, together with the propeller, around a stationary crankshaft. Pilots had to get used to the fact that a machine with such an engine turned more readily one way than the other. It is from here that the reputation of early fighters comes, as machines that call for practice and quick feet on the rudder.
Try dry whether the engine will pass through the opening in the cowling; slight sanding down tends to be normal. Start the painting with a dark primer, go on with a dry brush in a steel shade and finish with gentle accentuation of the nuts. At this size less contrast is enough, otherwise the engine visually jumps out of the model. Fit the finished whole only once you are sure the cowling closes without force.
The contents are the engine itself; the aircraft, paints and glue do not belong with it.
