The resin Lewis Mk.III machine gun of the First World War in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Eduard for faithful armament of period aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set of the Eduard brand from the resin line brings faithful castings of the Lewis aircraft machine gun in the Mk.III version from the period of the First World War, 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory with armament for a model of a period machine. A pair of weapons and spare magazines tend to be part of it, and photo-etched sheet fills out the fine parts.
The Lewis Mk.III was among the lightened aircraft renderings of this air-cooled machine gun of 7.7 mm caliber. Its marks of recognition are the cylindrical barrel jacket and the pan magazine on top. On the aircraft of the First World War it served as the flexible weapon of the observer or as fixed armament on the upper wing.
Carefully separate the small parts from the casting blocks and glue them together with super glue (cyanoacrylate). You will bring the metallic look out with a dark base and a gentle dry brush; a discreet patina does the barrel jacket good.
This is a supplementary set, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
