This set of wet decals from Eduard brings an exhaustive set of technical stencils for the Japanese Lockheed F-104J Starfighter nicknamed Eiko in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit or a set of color schemes but a standalone sheet of small service and maintenance stencils with which you fine-tune the surface of your model. The printing is done with Eduard's own technology on one large sheet.

The real subject

The F-104J was a license-built interceptor of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The name Eiko translates as Glory. The slender Starfighter with its thin wing was among the fastest machines of its era and a symbol of postwar Japanese aviation.

• Apply the small stencils onto a smooth gloss coat, ideally with a decal softener.
