A set of color 3D decals of the SPACE line from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the cockpit of a model of the F-16C in the Block 42 version in 1:48 scale. According to the name it corresponds to the cockpit configuration used up to 2005. The manufacturer also makes a set for the later period for the same block, so when choosing, check which state you want to capture on the model. These are not photo-etched or resin parts but thin elements with a raised relief printed on decal backing paper; they have no adhesive layer of their own and are released from the paper after moistening.
The F-16 is a single-engine multirole combat aircraft with a bubble canopy, an integrated wing-to-fuselage transition and a side-mounted control stick. Blocks 40 and 42 belong to a common development line adapted for tasks at low altitudes and in darkness, and they differ from each other in their powerplant; Block 42 is the version with the Pratt and Whitney engine. The equipment of the cockpit was modernized in the course of service, which is why interior sets are made separately for the individual periods.
Cut the parts out of the sheet with a sharp scalpel along the outline and follow the instructions enclosed with the particular set. Moisten only the backing paper under the part, best with a sponge and a drop of detergent, release the element with tweezers and lay it on a cleaned-up, previously painted base. Use PVA (white) glue for fixing; the manufacturer does not recommend superglue with these elements. Leave out the decal softener, as its chemistry would attack the printed relief. Complete the interior before you close the halves of the fuselage.
This is an accessory for building a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
