An aftermarket set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Xtradecal. The first part of the collection devoted to the earlier versions of the twin-boom Lightning fighter offers several color schemes with national markings and stencils. The decals go onto a finished plastic kit of the matching type and scale.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine, twin-boom fighter of the Second World War, characteristic for its shape with a central nacelle and two tail booms. The F, G and H versions were among the earlier forms used in action, among other places in the Pacific as well as the European theater.
Apply them over a smooth gloss coat. Release the decal in lukewarm water, move it into place and blot the excess water away. With a decal softener the decal clings to the detail and the engraved lines. Once dry, seal it with a clear coat of the sheen you want.
This is a stand-alone decal set. The plastic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
