M10 photo-etched turret interior 1:48 from the Czech maker Hauler sharpens up the inside of the open turret, which on this vehicle is visible from above.

A photo-etched set that sharpens up the turret interior of the American M10 tank destroyer in 1:48 scale. It is cut for the Tamiya plastic kit and it is an accessory fitted during the build, not a model in its own right.
The M10 had an open-topped turret, because on a tank destroyer the speed of traverse and the crew's field of view came before protection. That is exactly why detailing the inside makes sense: on the finished model the interior is not hidden away but forms one of the main viewing surfaces. The vehicle was built on the chassis of the Sherman medium tank and carried a 76.2 mm gun.
An interior set has to be planned ahead. Dry-fit the turret, check where each part falls, and only then start gluing. Paint and weather the inside before you fit the top edges and the roof parts; after that a brush barely reaches in. A light interior shade, a dark wash in the corners and gentle drybrushing of the edges, which brings out the structure of the photo-etched parts, all work well. Glue with super glue in small drops, and degrease the brass and prime it beforehand.
This is an accessory, not a kit in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
