Responsibility details are not available.
This set of color 3D decals from Quinta Studio replaces flat cockpit parts with three-dimensional, pre-colored details printed on a flexible carrier. As a rule it contains the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat belts. It is not photo-etched metal and not a casting: the parts are printed on backing decal paper and are applied in water like a classic wet decal. The set matches the early version and is intended for models of the Macchi C.202 Folgore in 1:48 scale. The set is intended for the Hasegawa and Eduard kits.
The Macchi C.202 Folgore was an Italian fighter of the Second World War with an inverted V12 engine derived from the licensed Daimler-Benz. Compared with its predecessor with a radial engine it brought markedly better performance and was among the best Italian fighters of its time.
The part is cut from the sheet, dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and, once it releases, slid off the backing paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so spray the surface underneath first and coat it with gloss varnish, on which the part will hold; in broken-up places a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as this chemistry would attack the printed resin. Press the part gently into the detail with a cotton swab and blot up the surplus water.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
