A combined package of accessory sets for a model of the Martin B-26F Marauder bomber in 1:48 scale, intended for ICM kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Martin B-26 Marauder is an American twin-engined medium bomber of the Second World War. It was powered by a pair of air-cooled radial engines and from the start it was built for speed, which earned it a small and heavily loaded wing. It was because of that wing that the machine had high speeds on takeoff and landing and at first a bad reputation among the crews; once the crews were trained up, it was a reliable bomber. On the later versions, among which the F belongs, the angle of incidence of the wing was increased so that the behavior of the machine at low speeds would improve.
A combined package joins several separate accessory sets for one kit into a single whole, so you finish the model in one go and do not have to put the sets together piece by piece. The designation Part I distinguishes this part within the range, so watch the number of the part when buying. Which particular sets the package contains and where the individual parts belong is given by the enclosed instructions.
Proceed according to the instructions and divide the sets up in advance according to when you need them during the build; some of the parts belong inside the fuselage and have to be in place before the halves are glued together. Separate the etched sheet with a sharp knife on a hard mat and bend it in a bender or between the jaws of flat pliers. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue in the smallest possible amount, and degrease the metal before painting and lay a base color under it.
For modelers who build American bombers in 1:48 scale and want to take a model further than an ordinary kit reaches. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
