1:48 Martin B-26B Marauder PART I is the first of two bundles of Eduard Big Ed photo-etched accessories for a model of this American medium bomber in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
With large twin-engine bombers so many photo-etched parts add up that Eduard divides them into two bundles designated PART I and PART II. This package is the first of them. The package groups several separate photo-etched sets intended for a B-26B Marauder model in 1:48 scale. What exactly each of the bundles contains is given by Eduard on the packaging; the two complement each other and a builder usually reaches for both.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber with Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engines. Because of its small wing area it had high landing speeds and earned a bad reputation among crews, which it later refuted with statistics: in the European theater it showed one of the lowest loss rates of all bomber types. The B version received a lengthened wing and strengthened armament.
Before you start, go through the instructions and plan the order of the work, because part of the photo-etch is installed inside before the fuselage is closed. Harder parts that have to hold a curved shape are easier to form after annealing over a flame, but the metal then softens, so handle it carefully. Prepare the small parts on a light surface and work over a tray so that a piece that springs away does not disappear into the carpet.
The goods are an accessory, not a model. The kit of the bomber has to be obtained separately.
