A SPACE series set for the pilot's compartment of the American twin-engine bomber in 1:48 scale. The relief decals complete the instrument panel and the side consoles and save hours of work with the finest brush. On a bomber this work makes sense even when the cockpit is closed, because the glazing of the nose section is extensive and you can see inside.
The B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber with a cigar-shaped fuselage and a small, highly loaded wing. It was the combination of a high landing speed and unusual behavior with one engine out that earned it a poor reputation among crews right at the start of its service. After changes to the airframe and retraining of the crews the situation turned around and the type ended up among the aircraft with very low combat losses. The B version was numerous and was built in several configurations that differed in armament and wingspan.
First finish the interior color and let it cure overnight; the elements do not hold well on fresh paint. Cut along the outline with a new blade and handle the parts with tweezers. Set the part into white PVA glue, line it up and press it down with a soft tip from the center outward. Only the backing paper is moistened; no decal softener and no setting solution is used. In the large interior of a bomber it pays to work section by section and to finish each one before starting the next.
