A resin detail set in 1:48 scale for more experienced modelers. It is not an airplane model, but an accessory — the automatic leading-edge slats — that refines the matching part of the plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Me 262A Schwalbe jet fighter. The set makes it possible to display the slats extended with a faithful shape.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe was the first jet fighter in the world to be built in series. Its wing carried automatic leading-edge slats that extended by themselves at low speed and improved the behavior of the machine on takeoff and landing. The resin set offers these small but distinctive elements as a fine casting that lifts the detail of the leading edge well above bare plastic.
Before gluing, wash the parts free of mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate glue and try the fit against the leading edge of the wing dry, expecting a small adjustment. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
This is a resin detail set for more experienced modelers, not a complete model. A matching base kit is needed to use it; paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
