Eduard 1:48 Messerschmitt Bf-109E-7 SPACE is a set of colored 3D decals for the cockpit of the model of the Bf 109E-7 fighter in 1:48 scale. It serves as an accessory for a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SPACE range from the Czech manufacturer Eduard offers 3D decals printed in color that are laid directly onto the cockpit parts of a plastic model. The instrument panel, the side consoles and the small details thus take on a raised and fully colored look without painting the individual dials. The set is intended for a model in 1:48 scale and does not take the place of a kit.
The Bf 109E-7 is one of the late production subversions of the E series, built at the turn of 1940 and 1941. The main technical change against the earlier machines of the E series was the ability to carry a jettisonable drop tank under the fuselage, or a rack for an external load, which extended the range and widened the scope of its use. The E series used an inverted V12 engine with direct injection and was the last generation of the Bf 109 with square wing outlines and the classic cockpit glazing.
Follow the instructions enclosed in the package. The surface must be flat, smooth and degreased: the molded relief of the instrument panel is usually sanded off the plastic part so that the 3D decal seats over its whole area. The segments are transferred one at a time and pressed down with a soft tool. The print is in color and is not painted over; lay a matte varnish on in thin coats and test it on an offcut of the sheet first.
This is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit in 1:48 scale. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
