A decal sheet from the Czech manufacturer Eduard with national insignia for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-10 fighter in 1:48 scale. According to its name the set is intended for machines from the Messerschmitt Regensburg (Mtt) and Wiener Neustädter Flugzeugwerke (WNF) plants, which differed in details of their finish and in the placement of the markings. It is not a kit: the decals serve to finish a model already being built.
The Bf 109G-10 was a late production version of the most numerous German fighter of the Second World War. It combined an older airframe with the powerful DB 605D engine and was among the fastest production forms of the Bf 109 line of all. Machines from the different plants differed from one another in the shape of the engine cowlings and in other details, which is a popular subject among modelers who go in for accuracy.
Apply the decals over a gloss or semi-gloss surface so that no air is trapped beneath them. Dip the individual markings briefly in lukewarm water, settle them on the model in a drop of water and squeeze the excess out with a soft cloth from the center toward the edges. On rippled surfaces decal softening solutions help. Once dry, go over everything with a final clear coat to suit the look you have chosen.
This is a decal sheet: a kit of the aircraft, glue and paints are not included in the package. The historical markings are reproduced purely for documentary and modeling purposes.
