This set brings a complete color interior of the cockpit in the form of 3D-printed parts printed on decal backing paper. The parts have a raised structure as well as realistic colors and instrument lettering, so they give the instrument panels, side panels and other elements of the pilot compartment a depth that plastic on its own does not offer. Intended for Mi-17 models in 1:48 scale. The target kit is AMK.
The Mi-17 is derived from the proven family of Soviet and Russian Mi-8 transport helicopters. It serves in dozens of armies and in civil operations for carrying troops and cargo and for supporting ground forces. Its roomy cabin and reliability have made it one of the most widespread helicopters in the world.
Before sticking the parts on, it is a good idea to sand the raised relief off the plastic parts so that the 3D decal seats. The set is applied onto a previously varnished surface; the parts are cut out and dropped into lukewarm water like an ordinary decal. Because they are thicker, they are fixed with a water-based glue or with an acrylic varnish. Do not use decal softeners or setting solutions, as they would damage the material chemically.
This is an interior detail set, not a helicopter model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
