According to the name it aims at the cargo cabin of the Mi-8MT model in 1:48 scale, that is, at the space which on this helicopter is clearly visible through the large door and the windows and which on a model tends to be the poorest. The Mi-8MT is an upgraded version of the Soviet transport helicopter Mi-8, known for export as the Mi-17. The cargo cabin is its most characteristic part: a long rectangular space with benches along the walls, tie-down points in the floor, piping and wiring harnesses on the ceiling and a large door on the left side. It is precisely this space that tends to be simplified on models in 1:48 scale, so accessories show the most in it, and that holds even when you leave the main door closed and the only view in is through the windows.
Interior accessories are fitted before the fuselage is closed, so plan the build ahead. First compare the parts dry against the plastic and reckon with having to sand away part of the original plastic detail. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) applied with a pin, not straight from the bottle. Paint the cabin before you close it and accentuate the details with a dark wash, as less light passes through the windows than you expect, so lighten the colors a little, otherwise the inside will stay unreadable.
