This resin detail set from the Brassin line by the Czech maker Eduard faithfully renders the main and nose landing gear bays for models of the MiG-21 fighter in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the simpler plastic parts and adds a wealth of otherwise unavailable detail. It is not a model – it is an accessory.
The MiG-21 (NATO code Fishbed) is a single-engine supersonic fighter of Soviet design, one of the most widespread in history. The landing gear bays are full of runs, braces and wiring, which the resin set captures with a level of detail that injection-molded plastic usually cannot offer.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the bays before you close the fuselage; the detail comes out after a wash.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
