Resin cooling air scoops for the MiG-21MF in 1:48 scale from Quickboost — a detail accessory for the fuselage; it is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Resin castings of the cooling air scoops for the Soviet MiG-21MF supersonic fighter in 1:48 scale from Quickboost. These are the small fuselage scoops through which air flows to cool the accessories and the powerplant. It is not an airplane model, but a precise accessory for experienced modelers that replaces the solid or simplified parts from the kit with faithful castings with the openings suggested, so that the surface of the fuselage looks realistic.
The MiG-21 was one of the most widespread supersonic fighters in history, and the MF version was among its later, more powerful variants; it flew with dozens of countries, the former Czechoslovakia among them. The small fuselage scoops are often molded flat and without openings on a model; swapping them for resin parts with the intakes suggested brings the surface to life.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Sand the original molded scoops off the model and replace them with the resin parts, gluing them with cyanoacrylate glue. Level the transitions with filler if needed and repaint in the fuselage shade.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
