A resin correction set from the manufacturer Aires. It replaces the dimensionally inaccurate plastic vertical tail with a faithfully cast resin part with the correct geometry and surface detail. Intended for MiG-23 models in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but a correction accessory.
The Mikoyan MiG-23 was a Soviet supersonic fighter with a variable-geometry wing, widely deployed in the air forces of the Warsaw Pact and their allies. The shape and size of the vertical tail rank among the characteristic features of the individual versions and their accuracy matters for a faithful model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin part and cut the casting block off. Before gluing, check the join to the fuselage dry and adjust the plastic if need be. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), work the joint in and even the surface out with a primer before painting.
This is a correction accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
