Self-adhesive pre-cut masks for a model of the MiG-25PD in 1:48 scale, in the double-sided version, cut for the ICM kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-25 is a Soviet twin-engine interceptor built for flight at great altitude and high speed. The PD configuration is a later modernization of the basic fighter version. The cockpit on this type is fairly small and the glazing has prominent frames, so it is these that decide whether the model comes across convincingly or whether the eye catches bled paint edges on it.
The masks are self-adhesive and pre-cut, so you do not have to cut them out yourself. The double-sided version means that the sheet carries elements for the outer and the inner side of the glazing, thanks to which the frame can be sprayed from outside in the top camouflage shade and from inside in the cockpit color. The cut matches the ICM kit in 1:48 scale.
Wash and degrease the glazing first; on a greasy surface the mask does not hold and the paint runs under it. Take the elements out with tweezers, lay them precisely on the frame and press the edges down with a toothpick or a blunt wooden stick. Apply the masks before spraying, not after it. Spray the cockpit shade on the inner side first and, once dry, the top color from outside, laying it on in thin coats so that it does not get under the edge of the mask. Take them off only once the paint has dried and peel them at an angle across the edge.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
