A set of self-adhesive painting masks (kabuki) from New Ware in 1:48 scale for a model of the fast MiG-25 RBT reconnaissance-bomber. The ADVANCED version brings the complete canopy glazing masks, inner and outer masks together with masks for the frame sealant color, and on top of that masks for the landing gear wheels. They give sharp, clean frame edges without the drudgery of laying down strips of tape and they make painting quicker.
The MiG-25, NATO reporting name Foxbat, was a Soviet twin-engine aircraft famous for its high speed and ceiling. The RBT version belongs among the reconnaissance-bomber standards, which carried reconnaissance equipment as well as the ability to bomb from high altitude. A structure of largely welded steel allowed flight at high supersonic speeds.
Peel the masks carefully off the sheet, lay them down by their numbers and press them home. Apply the paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, so that it does not bleed under the edge. Spray the frame color first, then the final camouflage. Once it has dried, lift the masks off carefully.
This is a set of masks, not a model. The aircraft model and the paints are not included in the package.
