1:48 MiG-9 / MiG-15 – weighted wheels is a 3D-printed resin set with realistically flattened tires for models of both early jet fighters.

An aftermarket detail set in 1:48 scale, not an aircraft model. The set brings a main and a nose wheel cast by 3D printing in resin with weighting – the tire has a faithfully flattened contact patch and a slight bulge in the sidewall, so a standing model gains a convincing impression of mass. The wheels are suitable for the MiG-9 and MiG-15 fighters.
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-9 was one of the first Soviet jet fighters of the second half of the 1940s, and the MiG-15 was its more famous and far more widespread successor with a swept wing. Both machines share sturdy landing gear with heavily loaded wheels.
Wash the uncured print resin residue off the wheels, separate them from the print supports and bond with super glue. Orient the flattening of the tire at right angles to the ground. Paint the tires in a matte rubber black, set the rims apart with an opaque shade and dust them with pigments.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
