Mikoyan MiG-21bis SPACE 1:48 is a set of colored three-dimensional decals from Eduard for a model of the fighter. It is an accessory for a kit, not the model itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set from the SPACE range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard, made up of colored three-dimensional decals that are applied directly to the parts of a plastic kit. The range concentrates above all on cockpit equipment, where printing with an embossed relief takes the place of laborious painting of instruments and control panels. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for a model in 1:48 scale.
The MiG-21bis was the last major production version of the single-seat MiG-21 fighter with a delta wing. Compared with the older forms it received a more powerful Tumansky R-25-300 engine, a modified fuel system and more modern avionics, which was reflected in the layout of the cockpit as well. The type was among the most widespread aircraft of its category and was used by a whole range of air arms.
Leave the surface under the elements smooth and painted, so that an element adheres without bubbles. Moisten only the backing paper under the element, lift the parts off with tweezers and blot the excess moisture with the corner of a paper towel. Fix them with white PVA glue; a decal softener does not belong on them, as its chemistry attacks the printed resin. A finished interior is usually not varnished, so that the color print and the fine relief are preserved. It is a good idea to finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage up.
The accessory is supplied without a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
