A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model of the Mil Mi-17 transport helicopter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-17 is the export designation of a modernized version of the proven Mi-8 transport helicopter. The machine has a five-blade main rotor, a roomy cargo cabin with large doors and fixed wheeled landing gear. You will recognize the modernized series by the tail rotor moved to the left side of the tail boom. Helicopters of this family serve to this day in dozens of countries and in civilian and military operation alike.
A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model in 1:48 scale. On a large helicopter there are plenty of areas where a plastic part has a needlessly massive effect: intake grilles, covers, grab handles, steps or fittings in the cargo compartment. It is precisely there that thin sheet metal pays off. Which parts the fret contains and which model it is tied to are given in the enclosed instructions.
Proceed in stages: first fit the places there is no reaching once the fuselage has been glued, and only then the outer elements. Separate the part with a sharp blade at the tab itself and sand the remainder with a fine file. Warm the larger areas up slowly before bending, as the metal then holds its shape and does not spring back. Wash the finished parts, degrease them and spray them over with a primer for metal, otherwise the coat of paint rubs off the edge.
The model of the helicopter, paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
