The accessory replaces and completes the simplified plastic features of a base kit with more faithful metal detail.
The cargo compartment is one of the characteristic features of the Mi-24: below the cockpit it carries an infantry squad as well as the crew. The photo-etched set adds fine features that cannot be faithfully molded in plastic: thin panels, reinforcements, fittings, handles and other interior detail according to the enclosed instructions. Separate the photo-etched parts carefully with a sharp knife or photo-etch shears on a hard surface, and make the bends in a photo-etch bending tool. To bond them to plastic use super glue (cyanoacrylate) or a special glue for photo-etch; degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer. The set is meant for more experienced modelers who want to take the interior beyond the level of a box build.
The accessory calls for a base plastic kit of the Mi-24 in 1:48 scale (typically Zvezda), which is not included in the package. Glue, paints and other accessories are not enclosed, unless stated otherwise.
