An extensive injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Zvezda. The model captures the Russian Mil Mi-35M attack helicopter, the export and upgraded version of the Mi-24 family (NATO reporting name Hind). It is a large and richly broken-down kit with a great deal of armament; paints, glue and accessories are not included.
The Mi-35M is an upgrade of the proven Mi-24V/VP attack helicopter. It differs from the older machines in its fixed landing gear, a shortened wing with four pylons, more powerful engines, a main rotor with composite blades and an X-shaped tail rotor. It combines the role of an attack machine with the ability to carry troops. It carries anti-tank guided missiles, gun pods and unguided rocket pods.
On a helicopter, pay attention to the main and tail rotors and their balance, and also to the extensively glazed cockpit — masking templates make clean frames easier. Fit the pylons and the armament only after the clear coat. Glue the plastic with thin cement and apply a primer before the airbrush. A sizeable model appreciates a firm base while it is being handled.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
