Boarding steps for the Mi-8MT and Mi-17 helicopters in 1:48 scale. An add-on set of the Quickboost range that replaces the simplified part from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-8MT is an improved version of the proven Soviet transport and utility helicopter, known in its export form under the designation Mi-17. The machine still serves dozens of operators all over the world and carries cargo, troops and the wounded. The crew and passengers reach the cabin by boarding steps at the entry door on the left side of the fuselage, and it is exactly those that this set provides as a separate accessory.
These are boarding steps in 1:48 scale. For the exact number of parts and their breakdown, go by the manufacturer's instructions to be safe. The accessory is aimed at the modeler for whom the simplified shape from an ordinary kit is not enough and who wants sharp edges and a legible profile of the steps at an open door. The steps can be set both folded down and stowed, which gives the model life and at the same time opens a view into the cargo compartment.
The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on them. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and on a larger area the joint can be reinforced with a two-part epoxy. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down carefully, so as not to damage the edges of the steps. Wash and degrease the whole part before painting, otherwise the paint will not stay on the surface. It works well to spray the steps separately from the fuselage and fit them only at the end.
The helicopter kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
