Eduard 1:48 Mirage III E masks is a pre-cut self-adhesive masking set made of kabuki tape, for masking the canopy glazing and the wheels of a model of the French fighter. It is not a model, but an accessory for clean painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains precisely pre-cut self-adhesive masks made of fine Japanese kabuki tape for a model of the Dassault Mirage IIIE fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit and it is not a finished model, but an accessory that makes masking easier and more accurate when spraying paint.
The masks are applied to the canopy frames and to the wheel rims, so that after spraying the glass stays clear and the tires stay free of paint. Kabuki tape adapts well to curved shapes, holds tight and leaves no adhesive when peeled off. The canopy frames therefore come out sharp and straight, with no tape to cut by hand. Before spraying, press the masks down carefully all the way around so that paint cannot bleed underneath, and take them off carefully once the paint is dry.
The Dassault Mirage IIIE is a French single-engine supersonic fighter and attack aircraft with its characteristic delta wing. It was powered by a SNECMA Atar turbojet and became one of the most successful Western combat aircraft of its day, operated by a great many countries. The IIIE version was the multi-role variant with a lengthened fuselage.
The set contains pre-cut masking parts only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
