Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero gun bays (3D printed), 1:48, Eduard is a resin detail set that replaces the wing gun bays on a model of the Japanese A6M2 Zero fighter with fine 3D printed parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the manufacturer Eduard is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model. It holds precisely 3D printed parts of the wing gun bays for building the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero fighter in 1:48 scale. It reveals the internal structure and the mounting of the armament, which an injection-molded kit captures only in simplified form.
The A6M2 was an early production type of the famous Zero carrier fighter from the start of the war in the Pacific. It stood out for its long range, excellent agility and light structure; the wing armament consisted of 20 mm cannons. Open gun bays are a rewarding subject for modelers who want to show the technical innards of an airframe.
First wash the remains of uncured print resin off the parts and separate them carefully from the 3D print supports. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and do the sanding and cleaning up with respiratory protection. Before fitting, it is worth spraying the bays with paint and picking out the detail with a wash and a dry brush.
This is an add-on set, not a whole model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
