The Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero Model 21 folding wingtips 1:48 (PRINT) is a 3D-printed resin set that lets you show the model with its wingtips folded. It is not an airplane model but a detailing accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Eduard brings precisely shaped folding wingtips for the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero fighter in the Model 21 version in 1:48 scale. The parts are made by direct 3D printing in resin and are meant for experienced modelers. Note that this is not an airplane kit but a replacement detail with which you finish a plastic model of the matching type.
The carrier-based A6M2 Zero fighter in the Model 21 version was given manually folding wingtips compared with the first production version. They folded upward so that the machine maneuvered better on the cramped decks and in the hangars of the Japanese aircraft carriers. It is exactly this feature that gives the model an authentic carrier look.
Wash the parts first to remove residues of uncured resin, cut them carefully from the print supports and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. Sand and clean up with your airways protected. Apply a thin primer before painting to even out the surface for the shades that follow.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
