Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the French MS.406C.1 fighter in Finnish Air Force form, in 1:48 scale from Dora Wings. It is a short-run kit that, besides the plastic parts, contains photo-etched metal sheet for detail and self-adhesive masks for the glazing. The package offers four Finnish marking options. Given the short-run nature of the mold, the build suits the more experienced modeler.
The Morane-Saulnier MS.406 was the most numerous French fighter at the outbreak of the Second World War. Although it was growing obsolete against more modern rivals, it achieved extraordinary success in the hands of Finnish pilots, who fought with it against the Soviet Air Force in the Continuation War. The Finns modified the machines as they went and a number of Finnish aces claimed victories on them.
Glue the plastic parts with a thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. With short-run molds, allow for careful cleaning up of the parts and for dry-fitting before gluing. The masks included make it easier to spray the cockpit framing cleanly; apply a primer before painting and use an airbrush. Finnish camouflage comes out well with careful shading.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
