This resin detail set holds a faithfully cast nose section of the de Havilland Mosquito FB Mk. VI fighter-bomber in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for the kit that replaces the forward part of the fuselage with a more accurate shape matching the solid, that is unglazed, nose of the combat version. It is not a stand-alone model of the aircraft.
The de Havilland Mosquito is a British twin-engine multipurpose aircraft of the Second World War with largely wooden construction. The FB Mk. VI version was the fighter-bomber pattern with a solid nose, into which the machine gun and cannon armament was concentrated, unlike the glazed nose of the bomber versions.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit of the nose against the particular kit before gluing and blend the transitions carefully with filler and sanding.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for the kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
