A photo-etched set in 1:48 scale for the OV-10 Bronco observation and light attack aircraft. An accessory to a kit that replaces coarser plastic parts with fine metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched fret is a thin metal sheet with an etched relief. The individual parts are cut from it, shaped and glued onto the model. Metal holds its shape even at a thickness injection-molded plastic cannot reach, which is why photo-etching pays off wherever a plastic part is necessarily bulkier than the real subject: on seat belts, handles, brackets, grilles and finely divided surfaces. The scope of this set and the order of assembly are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The OV-10 Bronco is an American observation and light attack aircraft with an unmistakable silhouette: it has a pair of tail booms, a high-set wing and a long glazed cabin for a crew of two seated in tandem. The rear part of the fuselage conceals a space for cargo, which made the machine an all-rounder for observation, fire control and transport. It is the glazing of the cabin that is most visible on a model, so finer interior fittings pay off.
A photo-etched fret is supplied. The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
