This set of the PRINT range brings 3D-printed resin gun bays for models of the Curtiss P-40N Warhawk fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory which makes it possible to build the model with the armament covers open and to reveal the six wing machine guns, three in each wing. Direct 3D printing ensures exceptionally sharp detail of the weapons, the ammunition feed runs and the internal structure of the wing.
Open gun bays are a rewarding diorama feature which shows the internal arrangement of the armament normally hidden in the wing. The set is conceived as a cut-out for removed panels; to achieve the effect it is necessary to cut out the corresponding parts of the wing of the kit.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and wash them. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the inside with a base metallic or green color according to the real aircraft, pick the barrels out with a dark metal and a fine wash, and paint in the wiring and the detail with a brush.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
