A resin detail set from the Aires brand in 1:72 scale containing the wheels of the American F-100 Super Sabre aircraft together with masking film. It is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket accessory that replaces the plastic wheels of a kit with a more faithful rendering with a fine relief of the tires and the hubs.
The F-100 Super Sabre is a single-seat supersonic fighter and bomber and one of the first production aircraft able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The landing gear wheels are a clearly visible detail on a model.
Wash the wheels to remove mold release residue and separate them from the casting blocks. The masking film supplied makes it easy to separate the tire color from the hub cleanly: stick it onto the hub, spray the tire color and take it off once it is dry. Bond the resin parts with super glue.
This is a resin accessory with masks. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
