A decal sheet in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer DP Casper, focused by theme on the piston-engine aircraft of the North Korean Air Force in the period from 1950 to 1953. It is not a kit but an accessory with which you give a model the national insignia and markings that are not commonly supplied in basic kits. The particular schemes and their number are given in the instructions enclosed with the sheet.
At the beginning of the 1950s the armament of the air forces in this area still consisted of piston-engine types of Soviet design, that is fighter aircraft with radial as well as inline engines, ground-attack aircraft and light biplanes used for auxiliary tasks. It was the last phase before the full arrival of jet equipment. For a modeler it is an interesting period precisely because machines of two technical generations flew alongside each other in it and it offers unusual color schemes.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat. Cut the individual parts out of the sheet, dip them briefly in lukewarm water and let them soften on the paper. Then move the decal onto the dampened place, set it into position and blot the excess water away with a soft cloth. On surfaces with engraved lines and rivets a decal softener helps. Once dry, coat the model over with a matte or semi-matte varnish, so that the edges of the carrier film disappear.
This is an accessory for building a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
